We recently popped down to Liverpool to take part in a Liverbeards meet, sponsored by us here at Beardbase. In a small underground bar called the 23 Club we drank great beer and met great new people who all shared the passion for the bearded lifestyle. What more could you ask for?
There were great prizes to be won in the raffle, including a large amount of beer, which we enjoyed on the stumble home. As a BeardBase sponsored event, there was of course some BeardBase goodies on display, which some very lucky Liverbeards won!
The raffle and tombola raised a decent amount of money for charity, but the clear highlight of the evening was the presentation of Liverbeard of the Month. The award went to a fellow Liverbeard's daughter, who'd cut her hair off and donated it to The Little Princess Trust, who make wigs for poorly children. She may not have a beard herself, but her spirit certainly embodies what we think the bearded lifestyle is all about! (Her dad's beard isn't half bad either!).
PB holding his daughter's prizes!
Some of the prizes had to be decided via Rock, Paper, Scissors contests.
We can't wait to do it all again on April 5th.
A big thank you goes to Jamin Sohrabi-Shiraz of Persepolis Photography for letting us use his shots of us and the Liverbeards on our blog and social media accounts. Check out his shots on his Facebook, Instagram (@jaminsohrabi) and Twitter (@JamMan1980)!
