Nut Allergy Information

These oils are natural oils and thus different people will react differently. I can’t stress how much I recommend everyone (not just nut allergy sufferers) test the oil on a tiny patch of skin first to make sure it’s not going to irritate you.

The general opinion online seems to be that Sweet Almond oil is potentially irritative to nut allergy sufferers. Therefore, I recommend against our The Beard Base and The Lumberjack oils.

However the good news is that several places class Jojoba, Safflower and Grapeseed oils as hypoallergenic, and thus extremely unlikely to provoke a reaction. Furthermore, Vitamin E oil reactions seem very rare, so this should also be safe. These are the ingredients of our Arctic Explorer oil, so if you’re a nut allergy sufferer, I’d say this is likely to be your safest option of our oils.

However, as with everything there may be a small percentage of people who are hypersensitive to some things, so again I ask that everyone please test on a small patch of skin first.

Cheers again to all of you beardsmen!
Andy
