Team Beardbase took a trip to Comic Con in Liverpool last week. As a bonus to all of the incredible geekery on offer, we spotted a few interesting beards!
Out of the huge crowds that showed up for the day we were bound to spot a few solid beard efforts, surely! See below for a few of the ones we managed to get photos of.
One of the first beards we stumbled across was the iconic goatee of The Undertaker. Suspiciously black, we hope that the beard is simply topped up with a bit of beard dye as opposed to drawn on altogether!
To be honest, we didn't know particularly what this guy was cosplaying as. All we knew was he looked awesome. His outfit was fantastic and his beard wasn't bad either. We'd follow him into battle!
This guy made our day. He had Naughty & Nice tattoos and an outrageous long, white beard, cosplaying as off-season Santa.
A man destined to promote our Viking beard oil, we nearly signed him up with a modelling contract on the spot. An incredible cosplay effort, with a solid Viking stare down to boot. Loved this guy, he embodied a beardsman perfectly. He'd score 100% on our quiz!
Not the longest beard we saw, but it doesn't matter. This Obi-Wan Kenobi cosplayer looked utterly majestic and we couldn't have loved it any more. He disappeared before we could get closer for some proper photos and we didn't see him for the rest of the day. We're actually not certain he wasn't a mirage or some form of force ghost.
All in all an excellent day, where we saw a tonne of beard and bought a tonne of junk that we love. We'll do the same in Manchester in July!
